Secondary Social Studies

WUCISD is searching for an excellent instructional leader to add to our family begin ASAP. This position will work alongside our Administration Team to ensure student growth. As you know WU is a great district that prides ourselves on being “Family First” and because of this we understand that our current SS teacher needs to be with her family during this time. Therefore, this position will finish the 25-26 SY with an option to continue employment for the 26-27 SY for the right candidate.

Teacher Certification is preferred in Secondary Social Studies. If the candidate desires, coaching duties may be an option (but not required).

The preferred qualifications for the position include several years of successful teaching experience in Secondary Education; World Geo, World History, Govt./Eco with an emphasis on building successful programs that are; accountable, systematic, structured, focused on growth, and a committed to a winning culture.

Salary and Benefits: $9,296 above state base, $400 towards insurance, $1,000 stipend per tested subject, plus coaching stipends.

Paraprofessional

WUCISD is searching for an excellent Paraprofessional to add to our family beginning ASAP in the current school year. This position will work alongside our exceptional WUCISD Team to ensure student growth.

Potential Paraprofessional applicants are expected to provide instructional reinforcement of lesson plans, under direction of classroom teacher, serve as a positive, nurturing guide for students, and provide inclusion support for students.

Pay Range: $17,166 to $37,381 depending on experience.

Custodian

WUCISD is searching for an excellent Custodian to add to our family beginning ASAP in the current school year. This position will work alongside our exceptional WUCISD Team to ensure student growth and facilities are kept to the high standards of WU.

Potential Custodial applicants are expected to clean and maintain district facilities using routine procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.

Pay Range: $19,388 to $42,219 depending on experience.

Substitute Teachers

Wellman-Union ISD is looking for substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year. Please contact the school at 806-637-4910 if you are interested. Pay is $70 per day for non-degreed, and $80 per day with a college degree. Applicants must also pass a background check.
