Lyndi Boone - Physical Education

Lyndi Boone

Hey!! Coach Boone here for my second year in my element as Elementary PE at the WU!! I am ready for Round 2!

This is my 10th year in public education! I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelors of Science degree and went on to McMurry University to finish my Education Degree. I felt a calling to work with children and now, here I am!! My absolute FAVORITE thing about teaching PE is how we endlessly work on multiple skills whether we are playing Pizza Tag, doing an obstacle course, FabFIT rotations, etc. These skills help with coordination, balance, agility, transitioning, listening skills, focus in the classroom………..I could go on and on!!

I am also the head Cross Country coach and an Assistant Track coach for the Wildcats. Between PE and coaching, I get to work with all ages from PK to the Seniors. I was an athlete all the way up to the collegiate level for 2 years. Even though that was years ago, I have never lost my love for sports or my competitiveness. I have been involved in multiple camps and events for years and developed an even deeper passion for working with kids in this environment now that I have two of my very own involved.

The best part about me is that I am a MOM of 2 little Boone girls and a WIFE of a husband who is very involved whether it be at my meets cheering on my athletes then watching our daughter run the elementary mile, or fixing shelves so I can store my pe equipment. Casey, Menley (2nd), Swazey (Kinder), and myself are very involved in our church, community, with friends and family, youth sports and activities, and anything that has to do with athletics, agriculture, and the great outdoors…….. we do it all together. They have a heart for involvement like mine and they are the backbone of everything I am involved in at the WU.

Looking forward to seeing all of those sweet faces soon!
